TekDefender setup

This page gives you the TekDefender support installer for your Windows computer. You will have been given a short code by TekDefender during your call. Type it below.

Codes work once and expire within a day. If yours does not work, ask TekDefender for a fresh one.

What happens next

  1. Your browser downloads a file called TekDefender-Setup-<version>.zip. Save it.
  2. Open the zip and open the TekDefender-Setup folder inside it, then double-click TekDefender-Setup.exe. Keep the folder together: the program needs the files next to it.
  3. Windows will ask "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" The publisher line reads Kenneth Wilson (TekDefender's signing certificate). Choose Yes.
  4. A TekDefender window explains what will be installed and asks you to confirm. It takes a minute or two and does not restart your computer.

If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen instead, click More info and check the publisher says Kenneth Wilson before choosing Run anyway. If it says anything else, stop and call TekDefender.
